ACM facade signage: what to provide
For facade signage, the design, sheet grade and fastening method need to work together. Supply the logo or lettering as a vector file and state the overall dimensions, quantities and visible side. A photograph or sketch of the intended location helps explain the application.
Material and outdoor exposure
ACM means aluminium composite material. Suitability for a facade application depends on the exact product, coating, construction and environment. State whether the panels will be exposed to sun and rain and whether fire-performance or other project requirements apply. Request the documentation for the selected sheet grade; the material name alone does not establish a service life or classification.
Design and readability
Choose lettering size and contrast for the expected viewing distance. Specify colours, print or film and the required edge finish. Mark holes, cut-outs and critical dimensions in the file. Discuss which parts need routing, sawing or separate assembly.
Fastening and installation
Describe the substrate, fixing points, spacers and available mounting area. Loads, fixings and any permit requirements need assessment for the specific situation. Agree who will install the sign and which parts Milplex should prepare or supply.
From drawing to quote
Send the file, dimensions, material preference, quantities and planning. Milplex assesses the request for technical feasibility. Sheet grade, processing, tolerances and finish are agreed during the intake, and the quotation is based on that project information.
